Introducing the Brother Celeste CX1 Sewing & Quilting Machine!

We are extremely excited to announce the arrival of a brand new sewing/quilting machine at Bellarine Sewing Centre. The Brother Celeste CX1 Sewing & Quilting machine is absolutely amazing and we would like to share some of the features of the machine with you. Many of you know that Zoe has had a Brother VQ3000 (Vinnie) and now a Brother BQ3100 (Fabio) for the last 12 years, but now there is more temptation with the arrival of Celeste! Celeste is not replacing the BQ3100 model, it is a new model with many more features.

The first difference you will notice is the large 10.1” High Definition LCD Display Screen. You can easily ‘scroll’ through the menus and see your selected stitch in preview mode. The icons are very clear and easy to navigate.

Struggle to clean your machine? The CX1 has quick and easy needle plate access. There is no need to unscrew the small screws and misplace them or struggle to put them back. You can now use one simple tool to lift the plate off, clean and then simply snap back into position. You can see how easy this is by watching this Brother Youtube video:

Do you love free motion quilting but you can’t get your stitch length right? Well, worry no more as Celeste has a built in Intelligent Stitch Regulator to help you achieve perfect stitching, this has previously only been a feature in the top tier machines. There are 3 settings to use in free motion mode and Celeste comes with 3 different free motion feet. Perfect for ruler work, or continuous free motion quilting or you can now baste your quilts as well.

Sew Straight Laser Guide – yes the CX1 has a built in laser to assist with accurately following lines. This is a perfect feature for quilting and even joining your binding strips together, plus sewing a hem line as you can line up the laser with the bottom of your garment to sew a straight hem seam. Those half square triangles are now easy as you have a laser out of the front of the machine to guide you. Watch this video to give you  a better understanding of the laser.

Accessories – the Celeste comes with so many feet and accessories that you now have a solid storage box to keep everything in the one place.

Stitch tapering is the ability to take a decorative stitch and change the direction of the top and bottom of the design. There are many options available to suit your projects and this video will give you an idea of how you can use this feature.

In addition to all of the above Celeste also has 760 crafted sewing stitches, 20 stitch tapering designs, 3 authentic Sashiko patterns, 130 advanced stitches, 15 one step button hole designs and fonts.

Another great feature is the drop feed (so you don’t have to lower the pressure foot), auto pivot and the reinforcement stitch. Additional features include the thread stand, couching attachment, top and bottom thread sensor, wide table included. And… you have 11.25 inch distance from needle to arm giving you a spacious 16” x 25” work space. Fantastic LED lighting gives you a well lit work area.

Also the MuVit Digitial Dual Feed quilting foot with additional feet is also included. The feeding of quilts and fabrics using this foot makes life so easy as it is the machine that is feeding the fabric, this takes a load of pressure off your shoulders.

My Custom Stitch – this feature gives you the ability to design your own stitches, save them to the machine and stitch out on your favourite projects.

Artspira App – did you know Brother have an app called Artspira that is full of inspiration. This app works alongside the embroidery machines, Sublimation Printer, ScanNcut and it now talks to the new Celeste machine. There will be Inspo Tiles where new projects and tutorials are regularly uploaded. This is a free app and also there is a paid subscription option.
