What sort of products do you stock?

Bellarine Sewing Centre stocks what can only be described as an extensive range of products, including global brands of sewing and embroidery machines in Geelong. Sewing patterns, patchwork fabric, quilting fabric and patchwork patterns all make the comprehensive list of items available at Bellarine Sewing Centre. You can even purchase furniture such as sewing chairs, tables and storage cabinets. As with the machines, you can get basic model furniture through to a complete set-up which you will find hard to leave, even for a tea break!

What sort of brands do you carry?

Global brands such as Brother, including Brother sewing machines, accessories and the incredible Brother ScanNCut machines. Elna sewing machines, a Swiss-designed international brand, Triumph LED lighting, sewing cabinets and tables by Tailormade Sewing Furniture in Sydney, fabric by business owner Zoe Clifton – Zoe Clifton Designs, and many, many more brands of fabric, patterns, books, accessories and equipment.

Where is your shop based?

Bellarine Sewing Centre is based on Moorabool St in Geelong. If you’ve previously visited the shop you might remember its location on the Bellarine Peninsula, the shop has now moved into Geelong’s CBD.

My sewing machine needs to be repaired, but it’s not a brand you stock. Can you help?

Absolutely – John Thorpe is co-business owner and a sewing machine technician-extraordinaire! John provides servicing and sewing machine repairs in Geelong, on-site at the shop, for all makes and models of sewing machines, even if you didn’t buy it from Bellarine Sewing Centre. You can take your machine in for a routine service or if it’s stopped working altogether, you can be assured John is the person most likely to be able to fix it. Such is his expertise, Brother have assigned him as their Authorised Warranty Centre (AWC) technician for South West Victoria.

What sort of fabric do you stock?

Where to start? Bellarine Sewing Centre stocks hundreds of different types of fabric in Geelong, which is also available online. Fabric designs can be categorised into the following: 1930s, basics, block of the month, bright and fun, linen, reproduction, traditional and Japanese. Within these categories you’ll find each of the relevant brands and their products. If you love fabric you could get lost for hours looking at designs from the ’30s, Japanese culture and more. Each fabric tells a story and you’re sure to find what you’re looking for here.

I’d like to learn how to sew. Do you run classes?

Bellarine Sewing Centre does run a variety of sewing classes in Geelong, including patchwork classes and lessons for beginners.
