Patchwork classes, Geelong

When you think about patchwork, beautiful quilts with different fabric squares sewn together to make a colourful design springs to mind. But patchwork can be so much more than squares! Patchwork is really any shapes you can cut and sew together, to make a variety of designs. Patchwork can be made from triangles, rectangles, squares and more. Sometimes these shapes make up other shapes, such as animals and objects. Patchwork can be inspired by nature, home life, history, events and much more. There are many techniques involved in patchwork, including piecing, stitching and embroidery. By attending classes you’ll learn the basics through to more advanced techniques, and be able to meet other patchwork hobbyists.

Bellarine Sewing Centre runs patchwork classes for beginner and advanced patchwork enthusiasts. You can book and pay for your classes online or make an enquiry for more information.
