Getting Started with Needleturn Applique

Needleturn applique is a traditional method using the needle to turn under the work to sew into place. Turning the points and sewing the ‘dippers’ can be a bit tricky. We will be working on a small sample piece that will teach you how to make and sew a stem, pointed leaf and dipped flower. Please note the image shown is not what we are making – this is a snippet from the beautiful  ‘Another Blooming Quilt’ designed by Sharon Wilkinson.
